This shirt is made in Japan by Warehouse & Co. Warehouse is known for making some of the best vintage replica garments in the world. Their attention to details when it comes to material and manufacturing techniques makes it hard to tell the difference if you compare a Warehouse garment with an actual vintage garment.

This shirt is perfect if you are looking for a slightly dressed up but still casual shirt! It finds it's inspiration in vintage Work shirts from the first half of the 20th century. With details such as button down collar, chin strap (the dubble buttons at the neck) that will ensure that the collar stays buttoned in a proper way. The two chest pockets in two different sizes, the smaller one could come handy for storing a pocket watch or other smaller necessities. The left chest pocket also has a slot for a pen or a ruller. 

The fabric is a called indigo wabash that has been been dyed in indigo. The dotted pattern had the practical function of making the garments wearer stand out in a crowd or against a background, making wabash fabric a favorite amongst laborers and railroad workers. This might also be the reason why dotted fabric was commonly used in making clothing for children back in the late 19th century and early 20th century.

One thing to notice is that the dots aren't circular but shaped as a tear drop. It's a detail that Warehouse found by careful studies of old vintage wabash fabrics and it's unknown if it was intentional on the original vintage wabash garments or if it was unintended and part of the process of making the dotted fabric. One thing that's for certain is that the uneven shape adds a vibrancy to the fabric without being obvious to the eye at first glens.

All measurements are in centimeters and measured on a flat surface. Width is measured straight across the chest from armpit to armpit, length is measured at the back of the garment from the neck down and the sleeve length is measured on the underarm from the armpit to the end of the cuff.
