This shirt is perfect if you are looking for a slightly dressed up but still casual shirt! It finds it's inspiration in vintage Work shirts from the first half of the 20th century. With details such as button down collar, chin strap (the dubble buttons at the neck) that will ensure that the collar stays buttoned in a proper way. The two chest pockets in two different sizes, the smaller one could come handy for storing a pocket watch or other smaller necessities. The left chest pocket also has a slot for a pen or a ruller.
The fabric is a called indigo wabash that has been been dyed in indigo. The dotted pattern had the practical function of making the garments wearer stand out in a crowd or against a background, making wabash fabric a favorite amongst laborers and railroad workers. This might also be the reason why dotted fabric was commonly used in making clothing for children back in the late 19th century and early 20th century.
